RADIO PRESENTER

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Job Description:
As a Radio Presenter, you will be the voice and personality behind our on-air shows, engaging listeners, delivering music, talk segments, interviews, and audience interactions in a lively and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Host live or pre-recorded shows according to the station’s schedule
  • Engage with listeners via calls, messages, and social media
  • Research and develop show content to ensure relevance and audience interest
  • Interview guests and contribute creatively to programming
  • Operate studio equipment and software
  • Collaborate with producers and other team members for smooth broadcast delivery
  • Represent the station at public events or promotional activities
    • Requirements:
  • Must be skilled in the field of Journalism
  • Must possess at least OND in Mass Communication
  • Prior experience is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Confident, friendly, and charismatic on-air personality
  • Good command of English and at least one local language

NEWS REPORTER

Job Title: News Reporter

Reports To: Head of News
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description:
The News Reporter gathers, investigates, and delivers accurate and timely news reports for broadcast. They will cover events, conduct interviews, and ensure factual and unbiased reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, gather, and write local, national, and international news stories
  • Attend press conferences, events, and breaking news scenes
  • Conduct interviews and field reporting
  • Prepare and deliver news bulletins
  • Verify information before broadcasting to ensure accuracy

    • Requirements:
  • Must possess OND in Mass Communication
  • Must be skilled in the field of Journalism
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and strong ethical judgment
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Previous experience in journalism or reporting is preferred

MARKETER

Job Title: Marketer
Location: IDERA105.3FM, Otan Ayegbaju
Reports To: Genral Manager
Job Type: Commission-Based

Job Description:
The Marketer will be responsible for promoting the radio station's brand, securing advertising deals, building partnerships, and increasing revenue through innovative marketing strategies. The ideal candidate should be persuasive, well-connected, and passionate about media marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new advertising opportunities with businesses and brands
  • Promote the station's programs, personalities, and events to attract sponsors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and advertising agencies
  • Develop marketing proposals, rate cards, and presentations for potential advertisers
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Work with the production team to ensure timely execution of client adverts
  • Participate in station promotional events and community outreach

    • Requirements:

  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and result-oriented
  • Knowledge of the media and advertising landscape (radio experience is a plus)

Job Description:
The Sports Presenter will be responsible for delivering up-to-date sports news, analysis, and commentary on local and international sports, keeping audiences informed and entertained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Present daily/weekly sports news and analysis on air
  • Conduct interviews with athletes, coaches, and sports analysts
  • Cover live sporting events and provide commentary
  • Prepare detailed sports reports and news scripts
  • Stay updated with the latest sports trends, scores, and developments

  • Strong passion and knowledge of sports (local and international)
  • Excellent speaking and storytelling skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Previous experience in sports media is an advantage

FEMALE RECEPTIONIST

Job Title: Female Receptionist

Job Description:
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers to the station. She will be responsible for welcoming guests, handling calls, and supporting basic administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and attend to visitors professionally
  • Answer and route incoming calls to appropriate departments
  • Manage front desk activities and maintain a neat reception area
  • Handle correspondence and scheduling support
  • Assist with basic clerical duties

    • Requirements:
  • Must possess at least OND in any related field
  • Friendly, presentable, and professional demeanor

BROADCAST ENGINEER

Job Title: Broadcast Engineer
Location: IDERA105.3FM, Otan Ayegbaju
Reports To: General Manager
Job Type:Part Time / Contract

Job Description:
A Broadcast Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the technical systems and equipment that support radio and online broadcasts. This role requires a strong understanding of broadcast signal flow, digital and analog systems, and IP-based media workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test and maintain broadcast systems including studio equipment, transmission systems, automation systems, and IT infrastructure.
  • Monitor and manage broadcast operations to ensure uninterrupted signal transmission.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with audio signals, hardware, and software systems.
  • Support live productions, remote broadcasts, and special events with technical setup and operation.
  • Collaborate with production and editorial teams to ensure technical needs are met.
  • Document system configurations, maintenance logs, and engineering procedures.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of broadcast facility upgrades and new installations.

    • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Broadcast Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent work experience considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in a broadcast engineering or related technical role.
  • Proficiency in audio signal flow, routing systems, and transmission technologies.
  • Familiarity with broadcast automation, encoders/decoders and streaming technologies.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and broadcast software.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, including during live events and emergencies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    • Work Conditions:
  • May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays based on broadcast schedules.
  • On-call availability for technical emergencies.
  • Some travel may be required for remote events or multi-site support.
